LEA VALLEY U3A
Meetings held monthly at 'the Spotlight' (formerly Broxbourne Civic Hall), in High Street, Hoddesdon The
U3A offers learning and social activities for those not in
full-time gainful employment.
Skills and experiences are shared among the members and it is an
excellent opportunity to meet local people in similar circumstances to
your own.
Lea Valley U3A was the first to be set up in this
area, in 1992, and we welcome members from
Broxbourne, Hoddesdon, Nazeing and surrounding areas. In fact,
you are very welcome to join us wherever you live, and whatever your age. Our main
meetings are held on the second Monday of the month (no meeting in December), at 'the Spotlight' in Hoddesdon (formerly Broxbourne
Civic Hall). Dates
of forthcoming meetings are shown in the latest Newsletter which can be found
on our News page which you can get to by clicking on the "NEWS" link at
the top of the table in the margin. Members are invited to arrive from 1pm onwards to
visit group tables and have a cup of tea or coffee, and lunch if they
wish, in the Bistro Bar. The speaker will begin at 2pm, the
subject of our talks ranging from “Weird & Wonderful Weddings” to
“Wildlife in Tanzania”, and everything else in between!
Lea
Valley U3A has over 50 interest groups including Antiques and
Collectables. Pilates, Keep Fit, French Boules, Exploring London, Reading for
